I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been very busy with a project I’ve been putting off until my kids both went to college – I’m staining that new staircase I had put in. The stairs have been out of commission for over a week so you can probably understand why I’ve waited. Lots of sanding, staining, sealing, and erm, cleaning. Sanding dust was everywhere. No matter what you do to try to keep the dust down it never works, lol. The only thing I can think of that’s worse is plaster dust!
I have pictures of my work in progress (1 last coat of polyurethane to go) and I’ll post them in the next couple of days.

Want to test out some kitchen layouts before you talk to your builder but have no idea where to start? Here are some guidelines for industry standards from the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Grab some graph paper (each square represents 3″ in a standard kitchen layout) and a pencil with a good eraser and have fun experimenting!
